Guess I will go out with the guys this weekend I can pretty much assure that I will dump two if I can keep them away from the competition I might even take the Kobalt into the swamp and try to put the stalk on one while doing some recon in the afternoon Thats something that I have been so tempted to do ... but the hit has to be perfect and it's Spitfires or nothing. 50 yard run would put them right in the back yards of the houses outside of the ditch I dont know if I have that level of trust or not ;D

Still here, still nothing! Until the bow is fixed up with the new string I've only got the Rifle. I've been told I shouldn't take anything over 30 yards - and broadside! Hmmm ... sure would like to take the Bow out ... we'll see.

It's killing me not hunting.I got Bronchitis and ended up with a fever after getting chilled the last time out.I have CODP and don't need pneumonia.I here the cough can last for months . I hope it gets better soon.I'm not going to sit in a tree freezing my butt of and coughing and alearting every deer to where I am.I did go scouting after a snow so know where they are moving in the colder weather. If I don't make it I have had a good year and have no complaints.Just hope I can get out shed hunting and scouting some new properties before spring.

I am still hunting hard, although i picked up the Katera XL this week. I have been enjoying hunting with the longbow, but I have obligations. I always give 6-10 deer to some friends up state who live on venison for the better part of the year. They are farmers and the youngest one is in his seventies, things are especially tight this year and it's just not right to have to pass on deer they really need, because I want to hunt with the longbow. I took the Katera off the rack monday morning for the first time since I came home from MT in september. At 8:15am 5 does headed past me at 35yds and i smoked the biggest of them. She ran 20yds and fell over, it's just amazing what damage spitfires do! I hope to get a bunch more down in the next few weeks and get to hunt late Jan with my longbow

How old is the oldest? WOW...I didn't know that you were talking about folks this old when I spoke to you earlier on in the week. Greg....They can have everything I have in the freezer if you have any problems filling out those remaining tags...which I am sure you will None the less...they are welcome to what I have and what I do get if I get out this saterday...which is still a very big maybe. Let me know =

I'm still at it. (sort of). Since I took a muley with a rifle in November, I have to wait until January to do my bow hunt as AZ is a one deer a year state. I hope I claimed all of January as my month for the contest! I know I claimed part of it, but can't remember.
Besides, I got back last friday from my late season bull elk hunt and mama would beat me with my own bow if I slipped out too soon!!! I know you guys are bow guys, but I like both versus no hunting at all. Soooo, I dropped a realy NICE 6X6 bull at about 380 yards. My brother dropped a nice 5x5 bull not 50 yards from mine! It's a pretty good story so let me know if you stick and string guys want a smoke stick story and pics! Bill
