How long have you got to go Red?....or does it just never end?  I am in the Central Zone...that mean the season runs until Jan. 24. As a bowhunter, most areas are very nonproductive now. Gun season in Florida also often brings dog hunting as well. I know it is an old southern tradition, but I wouldn't shed a tear to see it go. |

I'm still at it!
I've given away several meals worth of venison to those that honestsly could use it. because of that, I feel I could use one more nice Doe for the freezer.
The county I hunt in, is trying to thin out the deer, the does will be in season all the way until the end of March, so I am sure I will have opportunities!

Having a hard year too. I've had ZERO luck. No deer, no turkey. I've not been completely shut out like this for 10 years I bet. Took my public land stands down last week and I've changed strategy to try food sources this week from a pop up blind. I have three days to try to succeed this week; just about my last chance. Hopefully I can get a doe or two.

Just whacked two yearlings yesterday in the process of posting pics now. I think Ohio season goes through Feb. 1st or 2nd I'll hunt every chance I get until then.

I haven't been out in a couple weeks, I had a hard time getting motivated to get back out there during the gun season. I'm tagged out on bucks and have all the meat I can eat, but I do have a few friends that dont hunt who have asked for a deer so I'll plan to start going again now that the modern gun season is over. I have until the end of Jan.

I still looking for my shooter buck and I will be out every chance I get or till the season ends in Feb.
