I can do a blood trails for the Wasp with snow on the ground and today is pretty nice...so maybe...just maybe

Good luck to you both. There is nothing like hunting in the snow. I have been down with the pig plague since Thanksgiving and I am now finally feeling better. I should be able to get back at it with the xbow/shotgun/muzzle loader for the rest of the month.

Looking at the calender, I have 4 more days to hunt if I hunt X-mas morning. I missed yesterday as I've been down with the flu since Tuesday.

Sorry to hear that your down and out Tedicast...get better soon Well...I got Spiker a shot tonight on a very big Buck... but due to the fact that the buck jumped the string...we dont even have a hair to show for it. Found the arrow clean and blood free then followed the tracks through the snow for a ways with no blood. It's a good thing...dont want a wound at the end of the day. 2 more weekends (I think) so there is still time

I still plan to get out some with the rifle. We have about 3-5 inches of snow on the ground right now. We have open season until Jan 2! Bow season this year was full of disappointments although I saw a lot of deer. More bucks than does. I left quite a few does walk because of the bucks I had in the area....and all the bucks gave LITTLE to NO opportunity for shots except the one 6 point I missed in early season. I don't know how many of them have survived so far...but they are REALLY nocturnal. I have about 430 acres where I hunt, and LOTS of thick cover. Hard to get them out! I do plan to get out tomorrow for a while...and some more over the next 4 weeks.!! I sure have put my time in this year!

Little ol' me...went out tonight. Some idiots were running dogs on the adjacent property, so I knew my chances at seeing anything were next to none.
