You can bet that I would! It would have to be even faster with a W.C. if there is that much stretch

That's the biggest thing that I noticed with the Mach X. It was super silent, and zero handshock with the stock cheese cake box wrapping string.....(but needed to be tuned daily because of the stretching). But....when I put the WC , it all changed....noise, and handshock!!!! I'd like to shoot one with a custom string to see how it feels and sounds!

Just as a note: my stock strings are into their second year and thousands of shots. I no longer get any peep turn or need to twist the strings. My brother has already swapped his out. PSE's are hit or miss. I have not heard much good about other brand stock strings, though I know some are offered with WC or VT as an option. I believe WCs are an option on some PSE bows now as well. Mach X NX Cam The Mach X™ NX bow is also decked out with Winner's Choice custom bowstrings and cable for ultimate quality and reliability on the range and in the field.

I say this as a former professional musician....no two instruments of the same kind are alike, let alone different models from the same manufacturer! The Diablo seems to be a very solid instrument in that it's design is simple, and tried and true. Add to that the fact that you got a very well made one, and you have a winner. Not to throw anyone off here but there is a guitar company called "Les Paul". I have had good ones....and bad ones...same model, just no two are alike. You get lucky sometimes, just the way it goes. As far as the Mach X goes...there have been so many reports of creaking, and popping of the limb pockets that there has to be something to it....now.... As for the X Force...who knows, maybe they got it right, maybe the string holds up better on this design than it did on the Mach X...seems to suit the Diablo very well, you have the owners club, how many people are complaining...enough to say that PSE is putting a s%it string on their bows, or are they the minority? If I bought a car, and the first thing that I needed to do was buy new tires because it was well known that the tires that came on that model had a tendency to wear out too fast...guess what...I might suspect other flaws that are a result of that company trying to skimp. and save a buck on the construction of that product. The fact that PSE is known for having the worst stock strings leads me to believe that it is just the tip of the iceberg....

...seems to suit the Diablo very well, you have the owners club, how many people are complaining...enough to say that PSE is putting a s%it string on their bows, or are they the minority? No one I know of all the people (dozens) that post in the thread or who have PMd me have replaced the strings due to stretching or other problems. Some people change them just out of principle, but they would any bow they buy. Diablo's also creaked before the modified limb brakcet as they had an innovative pocket design. The 4 people I know personally have not had any creaking or had to get the modified limb pocket. We also had a GREAT PSE shop (their primary line) set up our bows. If you are listening to AT or other 'forums' about PSE opinions, it is the same as asking a foreign sports car forum about Ford. No one is ever going to say anything positive just 'because'. While I am certainly sorry concerning your experience, I shoot iwth an AR owner, 3 Diablo Owners, 2 Nova Owners, 2 Illusion Owners and none have had a single issue with their bows. One guy had issues with his Thunderbolt with Lightning Cam. I know Mathews, Hoyt, and BT folks and every brand has at least one guy I know personally who has had a problem with something. Their level of service after the sale was not set by the brand but by the Dealer. If the dealer was strong, the person got their issue resolved post haste. If the dealer was weak, or the person acted like an ass towards the company, then the company brushed them off. Yes, Mathews, Hoyt, and BT as well. PSE is no worse and no better than the other top brands. I enjoy taking the PSE stance here and AT, since in the past there was little representation. But AT X-Force insurgents have it in control over there..... hehe. Personally, I almost got a Vtech, but the bow just did not set as well as the Diablo. But if it had issues or PSE trated me poorly I would have no issues moving on. But I would do just that, move on. It is a tool and I want a tool that works for me. It makes no sense for me to love or hate the tool maker when there are so many positive alternatives. Anyway... Can we get back to the bow, the X-Force, and not how good or bad PSE strings, service, or engineering might be? Until someone here OWNS one and can report back on it personally. Then let them confirm or refute the popular opinion...
