Looks like the QAD Ultra Rest Pro HD is the winner, may have to wait a few weeks though. I just dropped $759 on my Alphamax 35 a month ago, not to mention bought a Fuse stabilizer, quiver, and a dozen GT Pro Hunters. I'll have to get it soon though, I have been shooting a ton of arrows through my WB and it is starting to put a hurting on my fletchings.

I know there are a lot of people on here that like the qad but imo you are asking for trouble with them. They just have to many cheap moving parts that can fail, and they do fail I used to shoot them. Plus on anything except a single cam any rest served into the bus cable can and will affect timing. That is why I tried the Limbdriver over 3 years ago and I haven't looked back. They are by far the toughest, easiest to set up,most accurate dropaway I have used. I only hunt I am not a target shooter and have LD's on all of my bows. I have hunted in every type of weather imagineable, and never had a problem.

What happened specifically?. I haven't heard anything the last couple of years. A few years back and into inception there were some issues but those were addressed and since then I haven't heard anything. I'd like a heads up as to what your referring too. I agree and you bring up a good point. I haven't seen and effect of single or cam&1/2 bows and my dual cams are timed for flight, so what your referring to doesn't come into play. That said, on a two cam that is timed to the book without flight tuning, you could definitely see something. Bottom line (IMO) you should only set timing to spec. to start and flight tune to you ammo. This is why I like the Montana trap door rest.....no attached parts a all anywhere

This is especially true for the binaries. I was having a heck of a time with my Equalizer. Turns out the cord on my QAD rest was too short and the top cam could not rotate all the way. A little slack put into the timing cord and those problems disappeared. Another thing is, if the QAD inexplicably goes out of time, chances are there's some string creep involved and everything will have to be put back into spec anyways.

I remember the freezing issue a while back also, but as it stands today, this is the rest of today. Try bidding on one on ebay, or AT, and you will get an idea of how in demand they are. The '09 HD version is just about as good as a dropaway rest can get. I know that the Limbdriver is an excellent rest as well, but up until now, it has lacked the containment, (which they have addressed this year, although some people think the little arms are a bit cheesy), and can not compete with the let down feature that is somewhat unique to the Quad, although the Nap Freedom has just offered the same feature, and Athens Archery is releasing their Omega Rest..which by the way, I am going to say that if it operates as advertised, will take over as the King of...well the new term is going to be"Disappearing" rests.

I'm waiting for the ATHENS ARCHERY Omega Rest to come out. The only thing I don't like about a paddle rest is the slap on the riser.
