From the feedback I have gotten from the everyone it looks like I will pick up a QAD. Is there a discernable difference between models as far as quality? I know its about 30 dollars more for the camo HD Pro versus the black, but not sure of the functional differences of the cheaper models. The cheaper model doesn't have the vertical adjustment. My preference is to have both vertical, and independant horizontal adjustment. The QAD Ultra Rest Pro HD is the bad boy, but a bit expensive...the camo/black option is preference, but the '09 Realtree AP camo is superior to the '08.JMHO...

I hate those shop owners that are trying to delete their overstock. ;D I shoot a Ripcord, and it's a great rest..except...I lost a deer to it .... HUH?! You mean it's a great rest if you want to lose shots at deer huh?. Yes!....it would be #1 in that category I guess ;D

Not for nothing but I have the quad (2 of them) and I have known many people who have had the ripcord. Nobody shooting the quad has changed but most of the ripcord folks have ended up going to the Quad. Just and observation I hate those shop owners that are trying to delete their overstock. ;, I shoot a Ripcord, and it's a great rest..except...I lost a deer to it because I was holding at full draw for too long, and had to let down. The click of the rest being set to the upright position alerted the deer, and I was pi$$ed. I'm looking for used Quads as we speak, and have a few bids out there. Now, having said that, I have a few bids on the Nap 360 as well. I want to find the best rest out there, and so far the Quad is leading the pack. Hmm doesnt sound like a rest problem IMO as Ripcords are capable of being shot from the down postion, raising as you draw, and making no noticable noise in the process...Just a thought. Ster

QAD has four models to choose from the HD, LD, PRO-SERIES and the HUNTER in that order with the HD being the top model. I would go with the HD or the LD the only difference is between the two is the HD has "HDT" harmonic dampener technology. "Timing cord lock" so you can serve the cord into your string of your bow then set the rest for optimum performance. A larger thumb lever for ease of raising and lowering the rest. The only other difference is the camo option. The HD and LD both have "LDT" lock down technology so after the shot the rest won't bounce back up and hit the arrow. I really like this feature. Only the HD, LD, and PRO-SERIES come with a limited lifetime warranty the hunter does not. I to have done allot research when looking for a good drop away rest Well those are the difference between them all you get what you pay for

Ster My fault, absolutely. But, that's just one of those things that can happen when a giant rack is in front of you, and you are not thinking right. Equipment that requires minimum thought when thought is at a minimum is always a plus.

I'm happy to provide you guys with some quality entertainment. ;D But seriously, trying to draw with the Ripcord prongs down is worse than the old TM style rest. The arrow doesn't have a groove to follow on back of the paddle. They assume that you will use an arrow holder, which I don't. With the Blazers, I was having a contact issue with it.
