Buckshot06, not sure but I think we shot together two weeks ago at Golden Hawks. My name is Dan, we shot with NKYBuck. I was all but ready to buy a Quad, then the ProShop manager said no the ripcord is much better, so I just put on the brakes took more time to investigate more before the purchase. Thanks for the insite.

Not for nothing but I have the quad (2 of them) and I have known many people who have had the ripcord. Nobody shooting the quad has changed but most of the ripcord folks have ended up going to the Quad. Just and observation

You won't go wrong with the MTD either - the biggest difference between the quad and the ripcord is that the quad stays up on a slow letdown while the ripcord drops. The MTD stays up on a let-down also I personally shoot the ripcord, but would prefer to have the quad

I have only tried one Drop away and it happened to be the QAD ultra hunter model. It was in my price range and not the top of the line but it has served me well. I can't say it is the best as it is the only one I have tried. But I do like it .

I'm one of those who use to shoot a ripcord and then switched. Now both my bows have QAD rests. Both rests are the cheapie Hunter models and they serve my needs just fine.

Nobody shooting the quad has changed but most of the ripcord folks have ended up going to the Quad. Just and observation I hate those shop owners that are trying to delete their overstock. ;D I shoot a Ripcord, and it's a great rest..except...I lost a deer to it because I was holding at full draw for too long, and had to let down. The click of the rest being set to the upright position alerted the deer, and I was pi$$ed. I'm looking for used Quads as we speak, and have a few bids out there. Now, having said that, I have a few bids on the Nap 360 as well. I want to find the best rest out there, and so far the Quad is leading the pack.

From the feedback I have gotten from the everyone it looks like I will pick up a QAD. Is there a discernable difference between models as far as quality? I know its about 30 dollars more for the camo HD Pro versus the black, but not sure of the functional differences of the cheaper models.
