One more thing ..... Bt adding more forward weight (I am guessing 10 ounces) you will eliminate alot of that torque when shooting open handed

Yes, I do that at each shot. I was kinda self conscious in front of the camera and my trigger finger kinda "helped" . Generally, I don't "squeeze" the trigger, but get a good bite into it with the first joint of my finger and finish the shot by pulling with my back muscles. If I do it right, my release hand will recoil back by my left shoulder.

Use a wrist sling or a finger loop. This stops you from grabbing the bow after the shot {most folks grab it before the arrow is gone and induce torque} Done right you'll actually feel the bow leap from your and and be caught by the sling.

I just want to offer words of encouragement Doegirl. You are obviously working really hard at this and making good progress. You are going to be awesome, I can tell. You have drive and determination and a stick-to-itness. All excellent qualities for excelling in archery.

I was just reading through all of the info and posts from everyone and all of vonottoexperience suggestions were spot on. Are you setting this bow up on your own. My wife (justracey) and I shoot at a range near Angola IN. Is that close to you?

. Are you setting this bow up on your own. Oh, heck no ;D My proshop's helping me out ( and all you on this forum-thanks ). Will probably be going back Tuesday to touch up the draw length and get new arrows ordered. I know alot encourage me to use the low wrist position, however, that high wrist position makes a world of difference for me. I'll keep experimenting with the low wrist, however.
