Michihunter I agree the blazers are the recomended fletch for the biscuits ........ But the fletches that you have now would do for what you are doing. I used a soft vanes for the past 3 years and only now have they shown more wear than I like to see. that being said the quick spins that I just put on this spring are pretty much toast now. They realy took a kicking.
All in all if you want to change to a whisker Biscuit the vanes you have will serve you well for a year or two.
Would you agree mich and BT?
I love my Biscuit and only now have I gone to blazers and that was because I didn't have any more vanes to fletch new arrows with. They lasted well.

Definitely agree. Even longer!! They are only cosmetic damages that can be readily fixed with steam if yuo so choose.

IMHO..Blazers are the absolute, best fletch, that you could ever consider..especially when used with a WB....Like I said..... IMHO...but never the less...I've done a lot of testing in the last month, and you can't go wrong using them..I just bought enough to last me a year....lol....that's a lot..lol

Okay, I got the modules for the bow and had the 30" module installed. Are there other changes necessary because of the draw length change? I ask, because I shot a few arrows tonight and it seemed that the bow string was slapping the stop quite hard. There doesn't seem to be any change in the clearance on the stop at full let down. My suspicion is that there is something else to be done

There is nothing else to be done when swapping modules. Maybe just because your closer to the noise now ;D Still.....I would take a very close look at all the string , cables and new modules to ensure that all bolts are tight and strings/cables are tracking correctly in their respective channels. What you may perceive as being a slap may indeed be nothing at all or perhaps something that is ajar or out of alignment. Take a good look at the modules again to make sure that they are secure

Thanks BT. I checked the bow over and I don't see anything out of place or loose. There is no doubt in my mind that the slap was coming from the the string stop. There was even a time or two in shooting tonight that the string wound up on the side of the rubber bumper on the stop. Also, the kisser button seems to be hitting the plastic mount that holds the rubber bumper. I decided to recheck the bow metrics and found that the ATA is 34.25" compared to the specified 34" and the BH is 8" compared to the specified 7.875". Is there anything here that would cause concern?

Something there that would cause (at the least) questions You increased ATA but also increased BH And now the string is going past the stop? Something isn't making a whole lot of sense here Generally speaking...when you increase ATA you decrease B.Height and if you increased brace then you would be further from you stop Sorry to have opened this can of worms because you are there and I am here The module fits in front of the string and does not effect any of the measurements that you say have changed. I have to leave soon so all I can leave you with is this.... You need to carefully check whatever was done. when I get back on Thursday I hope to hear that you found something that was changed besides the modules

You didn't happen to decrease poundage did you? That can increase your brace hieght slightly.

All that was done at the shop was to change out the 31" draw module for the 30" draw one. I stood beside the technician as he did it and it took all of about 3 minutes in the bow press. It couldn't be any simpler. I'm not even sure a bow press is required as when I look closely at the module, none of the cables or the bow string touch it until a draw is started. It looks like I could just pop out the two screws and change the module anytime that I wanted. I have checked and rechecked the bow and can't find a thing out of place but something has changed and I think I will run it back to the bow shop today to see what they think there.
