Actually was Escalade Sports that bought them. Not sure if they are affiliated with Bass Pro though. Escalade has bought up many good companies including CAP and Trophy Ridge.

Man, it sure is tricky keeping track of who owns what. You'd think that a google search would get to the bottom of that but it doesn't. Well, the Golden Bear will arrive early next week, so I will have lots of questions.

You've got the know how to get pictures up, so go ahead and post one from our shoot tonight. It was a blast. The bow seems good and hopefully I will get my form and the bow tuned to a consistent result. Already got the shot of "bambi" and I on my desk top!

we will just change this hole post. ;D ;D ;D First here is a link with photobucket. photobucket.com/After you register with them and get your account set up all you have to do is hit the browse button to look on your machine for the photo you want, you will have to do this for each photo you want to upload. Once you have picked all the photos you want hit the upload button and wait for it to upload the photos to your photo album. High speed of course will upload faster. When that is done I find it easier to leave that browser on photobucket and open internet browser a second time to hook to this site were you want to post the photos. Hit add post (I think it is) and type what you want and when you want to add the photos just go back on the other browser and pic the bottom link under your photo. It will automatically copy it to your clipboard and then come back here and paste that link in. This board when you hit send post will go get the photo and show it here. Hopesman I can show you all this tonight as well cause sometimes trying to figure it all out from a written post it gets hard. have no fear as you will have as many photos as the rest of us do in here eventually. Also we have to figure it out for you so when you get your deer we all can see it.

OK, where to begin. First, you have yourself a great bow. But (there's always a but isn't there ;D) you have a lot of unecessary stuff going on and a few things that I would definitely consider changing. First-Lose the metal D-Loop. Nothing good can come of it. NOTHING. Second- Lose the brass nocks that are hiolding your peep. Someone here can wal;k you through serving that thing in instead of adding unecessary weight. Third- It appears as though the string supressor doodad on your cable slide is touching your string at full rest. I'm not sure of that particular design, but all the opthers I know of suggest leaving a small gap between it and the string at rest. Usually a 1/16th. Fourth- Check the owners manual and see what the specs are for that bow in regard to Axle to axle length and Brace Height. I notice a disproportionate amount of twists in your string from one end to the other. Chances are something may be out of whack in your specs as a result. Fifth- Consider a new sight and rest. The rest especially. That looks like an old Allen and they are not the best quality. Remember, the last thing an arrow touches is your rest. That's not the place to skimp. Hope that isn't too overwhelming for ya. Just some observations I have from looking at those pics.

Thanks for the comments michihunter. Wow, that's a lot to consider. I must admit that I am hesitant to change too much of anything at this point as the bow seems to be shooting wonderfully (don't know the archery lingo yet!). It feels good, shoots quiet according to those standing by and seems to fit me very nicely. The fit is probably due to the fact that the previous owner was 6' 2" and 212 lbs and I am 6' 2" and about 210 lbs. As far as the rest is concerned, I was thinking of moving to a whisker biscuit but didn't see the need to given the results I am getting. What in particular is inadequate in the sight? Seems to work okay for target. I don't have the manual to check the detail specs but I will try to see if I can get my hands on one. Also, I see most of the other people are using the metal loops rather than string. Is it just a weight issue or is there something more? The bottom line for me is to have a bow that fits me well, is quiet and consistent and fun to shoot but can do the job when game presents itself.javascript:add("%20???") Huh
