I'm not suppose to be out in the sun for a few days so doing this was a little silly. how long does a bad case of strepp throat last? You will notice that the bow is much more efficient when nearly maxed out. These speeds were with the bow setup for hunting.

Does the shorter draw length have more of a valley? I just never could get use to mine at 70 lbs 30" draw 5.5 brace. I wish now I had kept it, turned it down to 60 and put an STS on it. It would shoot an honest 343fps.

One more photo. 70lbs 30" 236gr arrow I don't understand this. I removed the 65gr tip from the 301gr arrow which was shooting 353fps. I was expecting around 375fps. Instead I got 388fps and 389fps. I put the tip back in and got 353fps again. I removed the tip and got 389fps again. The only thing I can think of is that the spine is much stronger without the tip.

I would have expected 12-14fps but I believe that your probably getting that arrow into a float off the string. In doing so the recorded distance would be less than actual due to the arrow being at an upward angle through the gates.
I have the 5.5" and I also have the 6.5" I prefer the 5.5

I do know that anything other than straight on can give some funky readings so you are probably right. It was just for fun anyways. I plan on being in the 300gr neighborhood for hunting.

I have hunted with a 300 grain arrow for over 10 years and have always had a pass through...even out at 50yrds. No problems there when you have the speed to add the punch Really glad to have another speed freak on here

For what it's worth, my Bowtech Tech 29 will match those speeds at 29"/71#. In fact, mine shoots a 455gr arrow at 292fps as opposed to 291fps with a 460gr arrow at 30"/70# for the Iron Mace.
