Any chance of seeing a pic from everyone of 3 arrows shot into a target at first wake up?
I am looking to find the average ability of hunters out there and as everyone knows ... a picture is worth a thousand words
This is something like Spiker posted awhile back but different in as much as it shows what is likely to happen on the stand.
I realize that this is may be a pain in the butt for some but it may provide some information to work with
A majority of shots are in the AM at first light or at dusk...another transitional time.
In the AM the shooter is awake but not fully alert due to the fact that the transition between night and day normally acts as a sensitive.
In the PM the shooter is awake but anxious to beat the visibility issue.
Many times I read about people taking the shot at dusk and I think we all know just what dusk means
The posts generally mention that they didn't see the hit but know that it was good
I would like to have as many members mimic what I am thinking is the high norm.
High probability of kills in the AM and High probability of wounds at dusk.
If we could get three pictures posted here that would parallel actual conditions , this would help build a picture into what is happening out there
[yellow]First shot would be cold...no warm up
20 yards and one arrow ........ please post the first shot .... no redo's
Second shot at the same 20yrds , one arrow , sitting , (time)...when the target cannot be seen , only the silhouette of that target.
Same request for PM shots
Third shot at 20 yards after a good warm up.
This should be at least a three arrow group to show that persons average group.[/yellow]
[white]I don't want you to shoot until you cut an X an then post that pic , I am looking to see what your average is and how much (if any) it changes when you are cold or cannot see the target and are having to guess the area. The reason for this is because I need to see what kind of a shooter you are in order to know how much (if any) you are off the mark.[/white]
Please place all shots in one post so that they can be viewed together.
Simply modify your first post each time there is a shot to enter.
This may take awhile to build this threads evidence...I understand this but it may turn out to be a great reference thread in the future.
[yellow]***Please list sight and if you use a release or not[/yellow]
