I was just watching a big tom strut for a few hens in front of 15 or so deer! Too bad it's at the school and I can't hunt there, but it was cool none the less and now I am stoked. I got some pics and they aren't great but I'll post them later. The zoon sucks, so i was taking pics through my binos.

Uh oh! That Tom is a bruiser! I'm sure there's a way to wait for him after school. ;D That's amazing, like a live 3D course. It's on!

No, trying to win $20 in a contest isn't worth loosing a job over..............you think having weapons on Verizon property is bad!
I have a spot with quite a few birds that are bigger than this though. This was just enough to get me fired up. I had my turkey call with me but I could not get him to gobble, he wouldn't even gobble for his hens. i sure had them fired up though. everytime I let out a series of yelps they would fire right back. I had one start to come in, but I wasn't in camo and she didn't want to leave the field edge.

What kind of call are you using? I'm really stoked on a pan call right now that makes a purr that gets a gobble everytime! Wow, sounds like turkey porn! ;D Seriously, try a pan call, slate over glass with a carbon striker. IMHO, it's the best of the bunch. Also, where I live there are farms everywhere, so a rooster crow is the ultimate locator. If that's not the case where you are , try a crow call, the enemy of the turkey. If there's a tom in the area he'll be sure to gobble at it to show who's boss!
