Hmm, I wouldn't really say CLOSE ... but they're within reach. It will be around a 200 mile round trip ... give or take a few miles. LOL When they open I think someone might be getting a call from little ol' me. The Judge looks like a Cobra to me ... beautiful yet deadly. Hopefully that makes sense. LOL Do you have an Elite dealer anywhere near you? The new Judge has peeked my interest.

Cabelas stated they should be getting the Bear Attack's in around the 3rd or so ...
Still no luck in tracking down an AB ... I guess they don't sale very many speed bows around here?

Found 2 places in the "area" that MIGHT have one to try. It will be a small trek just to get to the places. Kind of crazy to think driving 500 miles just to try a bow! (250 each way)

A shop got back with me just a moment ago ... the AB is in their shop, and they have 2 more in a sister shop approximately 10 miles away.

I haven't had the chance to shoot the Destroyer yet, but that will change within the next couple of weeks! I've shot the new offerings from Mathews, Hoyt, and PSE and nothing really impressed me there. Trying out as many bows as you can is the best thing you can do before spending hard earned money (plenty of it too!) on a new bow. As far as that thread on AT goes about the Destroyer, I won't get into a lot of bashing here, but that guy loves to stir up hornets nests. He was banned from a huge hunting site because of his behavior, and he also posted that exact same thread on another site. He didn't post anything more in reply to people asking what HIS Destroyer that he bought was like because his has no such problems. He simply did it to start a flame war. He is a Bowtech fan as well because he owns I believe 3 others besides his new Destroyer and I know 2 of them are Crackerized! A review of a bow really means little on the internet beause in the end it's about what FEELS BEST FOR YOU! Good luck on your quest in finding the perfect bow for you!

Thanks I hope to find the ONE sometime in the near future. I learned long ago that what someone says doesn't mean much when it comes to equipment. For example, I've got a HAND MADE rifle, looking at it you might think man ... what a hunk of junk! The fact of the matter is, it's machined down to the firing pin and will put a round in a fleas ass at 200 meters ... just like the rifles with the several thousand dollar barrels. LOL Proved that already. I've also got a "P.O.S." or so people think. It's my ringer. If/ when I take it to the range people might take a look at it and laugh. Others, serious about the sport will look at it and usually protest (if in a tourney) ... because they know it's world class. Made around 1900 ... but with a few modern componets it's as deadly as a .50 BMG. (IMO) I've got a guy actually driving over tomorrow to show me the bows he has at his shop. I've been there twice, but I spoke to him earlier and asked if he'd mind if I dropped back buy to shoot them again, because my mind still wasn't made up. He said I was more than welcome to do that, or he could meet me at the Bowman club (about half a mile away) and I could shoot them out in the open "like they're meant to be shot anyway" - his exact words. I said Bowman club, would be best for me ... he told me he'd bring everything he has. (newest models) I figured ... what the hay, it couldn't hurt to shoot them on the range with a little wind. I mean, I won't be hunting in a closed range. Where it goes is a by product, I want to know how it feels. My baby rifle melts in your hand when you pull it to your shooulder to send one down range. I'm hoping to find a bow that will feel the same way.

Okay, so the shoot is over for the evening. I'm absolutely sure I'll get ripped by someone for saying this but I don't really care. You've got to give the Bear Attack a try ... even if you don't plan on buying it. It's quieter than the DXT, smoother than the DXT, and has a great back wall. The one I shot was set at 62 lbs ... it pulled like it was around 50 lbs. I was really impressed ... and it was just as fast as any other bow I've shot to date using a hunting arrow ... besides the Destroyer, but not sure by how much. I've got to admit, if I HAD to choose one RIGHT NOW ... it would be the Bear!

That looks like a great bow. You have to get the bow that feels right for you, no else here is going to hunt with it.

The guy came out and measured me, 27.5" DL ... asked him to try 27" first, just to see what it SHOULD feel like. Blurry I know, he was the one working the camera. LOL This is the bow at 27" DL When it got dark we headed over to my place for a little more shooting. That (in the picture) was the last one I shot. It damaged 2 (Victory HV V1) of the 3 arrows ... not to big of a deal apparently since Victory supplies their shooters with them. Now that would be nice, wouldn't it?
