I understand what you are saying but don't agree 100%.
As I read what you are doing is training deer to respond
to a smell.Like Pavlov ringing a bell every time he feeds
a dog to get it to drool. Then just ringing the bell and they
start to drool.I have 1250 acres to hunt this year
.I only
want to put this out in my shooting lane to stop any deer
that passes close enough to smell it.Hoping their curiosity
will give me a better chance at a shot while they are checking
out the Butternut.I will put out an apple or a small pile of
corn but what happens when deer #1 eats it all then deer #2
comes along
.Do I need corn in my food plot to get them
over to the side my stand is on
.I don't plan on leaving
the cam out at each location very long.I hope if the deer are
moving they will respond fast
.I might not use it in the
places I hunt untill I am hunting for real.I would put it out
and bring it in after the hunt.I'm sure every one will do it a
little differant.Like most things I have done in my life I have to
find out first hand how things work. Some times I am right and
some times it's back to the drawing board ;D.
So I will keep playing around and report my findings and any
changes I need to make. :(One thing I lurned last year was
spending to many days in stands that did not pay off. This year
I plan to be much more flexible to change. ::)All JMO OFB
