The Phantom would be a better choice between four point of contact or two. Yes I know that the Phantoms are wider but if you see them in your hand, you will see the ferrule difference is an offset as well. Bottom line is that the Muzzy does give you better cut and blood while maintaining a minimum contact area. I would try them both and opt for the best penetrating.Would you like a recipe for Ballistic gel?. You could do a real good post with that Speaking of which...I will be using a ballistic gel formula for this years traditional tests. BT could you post that recipe I would like to have it

I got something finally positive to say. This Ashby setup is a very forgiving one. Enjoyable even . I spent a few hours at the archery club doing some fine tuning and practice. Arrow drop? Oh boy. ;D Sighted in for 20yds, I get a 5 inch drop at 25yds and 11inch difference at 30. Using the single pin sight, it's fairly easy to use hold over to compensate. Basically, if I hold high one inch per yard past 20yds, I'll be right where I need to be. I think, with enough practice shooting at unknown distances, I can be competent out to 30yds with this setup.

Thats really good drop for the 10 yard spread! I really thought you would be at 14" at least. Agreed to the forgiving and relaxed way the bow handles the added weight. Are you going to use it stalking or in the stand this next time?. We need multiple pics of you posing with your trophy...all kinds and at different angles Then we need blood trail pics...lots of them. And anything else you can think of Glad to hear you are finding the groove

Hey stillearning!....know what I just noticed?. You got as much penetration with your arrows as I did with an arrow that weighs nearly 900 grains.
