Unfortunately, they don't have a Mac version anyone want to run some numbers for me? Looking at bowjackson, it looks like I am around 12.8 FOC. hard to believe with a 100gn head. Heres the specs. cx300 3-D select 29.5" vanes are Kurly vanes (should be about the same as 2.5"-3" feathers.) 3 fletch standard nocks. (no inserts) aluminum tip inserts arrow is going 285fps, see signature for bow specs. If I remember correctly, if I go much lighter (75gn) I will be pretty over spined...then if I go to a cx200 my FOC will likely go right (11.7) (but I will be in the 295-300fps range )...but a touch noisier...and VERY close to minimum gn/Lb. What to do, what to do

Your FOC calc was a bit off. Velocity was right on. Looks like an increase in head weight wouldn't hurt a bit but you're fine where ya are right now. I certainly wouldn't go lighter. The FOC with the 125 would be sweet for only a 6fps loss. And about 2 ft/lbs of KE increase. Here ya go- With 100gr: With 125gr

Ok arrow Guru's, I feel a need for speed Im currently shooting 30" Axis 340's with 100gr. heads, a 32" draw @ 70lbs. Toltal arrow weight is 435gr. Velocity is 288fps. What arrow combo can get me down to IBO legal{350gr} weight and get enough spine and FOC for good arrow flight?

This is so close to the IBO (with a safety margin) while maintaining FOC that you should be able to hunt with the same set up and arrows.

OK, now the question is what 75gr head will fly well and be effective?"Inquiring minds want to know"

that should get him close to the 305-310fps range...something like 72-75ft/lb of KE. A good mech head like a Shockwave, would fly well...also Slick tricks and Montecs from G5 would fly well....ALL would be quite effective at over 70ft/lb KE

For hunting I personally would go with a good 85gr. head as there is a larger selection available An 85gr. head will offer no visible difference in a field condition or on the 3-D course. You were looking for IBO and the above combo does this but for 10grns. difference you'll never see the effect on anything. Personally with the set up you are talking about building here I would go with the Slick Trick as it's flight is great and with the smaller dia. heads , the fourth blade helps to make up for the loss
