Well Eastern showed me the light about Carbons vs Aluminum. Now the search begins for some Carbons. I am looking for something that work well at 50lbs pull and leave them full length. At least that is what I want to try. They don't have to be top of the line and can even be a going out product line. I just need reasonable pricing so I can afford them. Any suggestion as to which ones would be good for hunting? They do not have to be the newest and greatest. Not the way I shoot

For you I'd try Carbon Express Terminator Selects in 4560. Terminator Select has a straightness tolerance of +/- .003" and each shaft or arrow in a packaged dozen will weigh within +/- 1 grain of another. The Select shaft or arrow is considered the "Best of the Best". 45/60 - 9.5 Grains/Inch $51.95 at Keystone.

I shoot the Carbon Express Selects as well. They seem to be well made and Eastman Outdoors have been tremendous when I have called on them for arrows for the kids shoot we do and donations for banquets etc. I believe in taking care of those that take care of me.
There are other good arrows out there for less money. They might not be as straight or even in weight but many would never notice the difference.

Spine, speed and FOC will all change with length of shaft SL. I'd find the optimum shaft spine with a software program such as the trieal version of On Target's Shaft Selector and start from there. It will list various shafts in that spine and give you an indication of which length is best for you.

Take a look at all the variables that can be entered. In the left column you'll notive a arrow pointer for each set up you put in. In this example I used Carbon Express Terminator Hunters. The second column shows what's the specs are for the arrow I would want (notice it even has length). Punch in all the data and the pointer up near the top left will tell you if you are within parameters, or stiff/weak. In this particular example, I'm just a bit weak but still good. The lowere right box wil show all shafts in the database that will be a good fit.
