I practice at 100 - 125 yds regularly because it's a challenge. Then, when you put your pin on a 40 yd target, it seems like 20..or even 15. At 20 yds, it's crazy. The opposite happens to me in the spring after shooting my 10 yd range in the basement all winter. 35 yds seems way out there the first session or two.

do not just think distance, but KE efficiency, and depth of pentration. I am not going to make any claims here as of now, just say it is substential, very substential. Try to think 5 point more in energy transfer to be conservative . You will just have to try it to believe it. I guess

6) May snap and break broadhead due to extreme rotational energy store (BAD.. very bad) Firenock, Is this a result of testing or a hypothesized condition? We had an interesting discussion on another thread about this topic.

...to try to extend their range or limits and think I am crazy for shooting the distances that I do. I have 7 pins on my sight, a Spot-Hogg from a couple years back. (Great sight by the way...) I range from 20 to 80 yards, unless I shoot a very light arrow - then I get a bit more out of them. I keep a note on the back of my range-finder that lists the heavy arrow and the light arrow, and what distance they range in at for the setup as it is. This past weekend, since the wind was blowing, we hung the tennis balls at 40 yards instead of 60. And were shooting 3D's at 87.5 yards. (Something off the normal sight pin setup.) We have shot as far as 200 yards. Not for hunting reasons - no sir! Something much more important - fun, harassment, and bragging rights! We don't shoot just to see who comes closer - we are shooting for score. We have been thinking of setting up a 3D shoot with no shot under 60 yards, and no shot over 100 - range-finders allowed, 40 seconds max shot time. We shoot out to 200 with the longbows, too! I think we've managed 2 or 3 points over the last 3 or 4 years... ;D madoktor1 - If you can't tell, I really don't think you are crazy at all! And mobowhunter, I think that there is a market for this product! Aside from play, for me anyway, it is dealing with the wind. You pack back in to some more remote location and if the weather sucks and the wind is blowing - you still hunt! And out here, the wind can blow pretty good some days. So if I can pick up a couple of these to try in the wind and they perform as suggested - OH YEAH! You can bet they'll be sitting on arrows in my quiver for the 101st. PS - No offense taken at all, mobowhunter, on your comments! If you are ever in the area, stop on by and I'll bet I can change your mind about shooting longer out at the range...

all i want to know is will it fit in my ez flecther? No, it will not as it has 1 degree built in. It need to be fletch PERFECTLY straight or you defeat the reason it is made. At this time, a Jo-Jann or Bitz with our $0.99 tool is the only way to it can be perfectly fletched. FYI, I own 3 carbon ez fletch and they will be on ebay shortly.

Smj, you hit the nail perfectly on the head. What excite me is not the long range, but how much this vane allows me to shot even under HEAVY cross wind. Will it totally eliminate crosswind, but I would say +85% base on the limited test me and my pro staff have reported so far. The real reason behind this as I find out is that when a vane do not INTERACT with the air but work with it, the adverse effect of carrying by the wind is substantially decrease. Just like a bird, it can fly against the wind to gain height, but as it go with the wind, it gain speed (a tiny bit of correction will be enough to gain directional control) The "work" of spin is mot via air drag (INTERACTION), but via airfoil which further smooth out the air patent on cross wind.
Man, I cannot believe I wrote more and more like the professors I consult with... SCARRY

smj 200 yards awesome - that would be fun ... I have plinked at a 150 with the compound but 200 with a stick! wow... I have a friend who wants to build (4) custom 10 pin sights just for long range practice - if someone is interested they can get ahold of me ...

Dorge (firenock) I haven't posted here but I have been following what has been said. You started this thread with a question about your add. I agree that most hunters won't understand what is being showed to them. There is allot of info jambed into a small amount of space and I feel most will ignore what is there due to all the info showed. I agree with royden all this info should maybe be on an inside cover of the package or a tech page. I know you put allot of time into this product so don't lose customers with allot of tech info. State the facts in bold letters and let the customer find out the tech part on the package. smj had a good idea showing it on an arrow. From what you stated in your post sounds like great advertising info. More FPS Flatter flight Better penetration Makes BH fly like a FP Long range accuracy 1 deg built in This would be more beneficial for selling the most product JMHO. BTW......... I would love try some of these. Where can you purchase these You mentioned available on the 25th? Is that from your web site.

I have decide to make it into a technical aspect manual of Aerovane II. What do you think? As for what Buckshot06 said. I fully agree. I am going to do a result based ad. The Technical manual are for geeks like myself.. LOL Yes, by the 25th I should have 5000 pack in hand, but I am not sure how long it will last. You would not believe the pre-orders I got already.
FYI, the diagram have been updated, please refresh when you view it. It is straight out from the blue print.
