My only conclusion can be that there can be a space above the lungs "a dead zone." I do believe the same thing I have been there and it isn't pretty. Long tracking jobs with the out come the same...... no animal  . |

Great post  I like the peeled back picture it gives a detailed idea where everything is no mistakes on that one ,Alot of hunters dont have a clue where the lungs and liver are and shoot to far forword and wound some nice bucks to have them go off and die.  |
