No really. we just wear camo and under layers depending on the temp. for gear, make sure you have your bow, arrows, release, saftey harness.........the essentials. a flashlight would not hurt, maybe a bow hook, bow rope, knife. I carry a bottle of water or two and maybe a granolla bar. it depends. i usually don't sit all day, although you guys may want to being you have limited time here. If you do, maybe bring a book. whatever you need to make you comfortable. I know that i have x-tra bow hooks, bow ropes, harnesses, flashlights, knives.......
as long as you bring your basic gear you'll be fine.

ROFLMAO I love to see that kind of humor. It shows me I am not the only nut out there. I was wondering a bit like Hopesman about what is in your packs? I cary a set of deer antlers for ratteling, should I bring them? I carry a couple of differnet calls, doe call, two different grunt calls, should there be anything else? I do carry a rattle bag as well as some attractant sent for latter in the season but I do try some early just in case? should I bring all that stuff?
Hopes man if you look earlier in the post I do believe that it was mentioned to wearing Camo is the way to go down there and it sould be somthing with a lighter green and some brown in it as well If I am not mistaken.

Should I bring my own splints or will we just use young saplings from the area. I will probably get so excited when the deer comes out that I stand up, step forward, realize I forgot to fasten my harness to the tree and hit the ground think Ouch this is going to leave a mark. ;D ;D ;D
Oh yea I also carry snacks in my bag with me.

calls are always good to have. I have used rattle bags, bleat cans and grunt tubes with some success before. i usually only call to deer that I can see but are not headed my way. a doe bleat can sometimes sucker deer in very well. i have called a deer back in 3 times for 3 shots (first 2misses)with one. sure, if you have scents bring them. i don't use a ton but it won't hurt to have. I wouldn't bother bringing actual antlers. any rattleing will more than likely be light and a bag is perfect.
camo is the way to go. we have used all sorts of colors and patterns. it really won't make a huge difference what kind.

I am glad that things seem to be coming together for you guys. I won't be up to NY until the second week of November. So just be sure that you don't kill em all, and leave a few deer for me.
