What the heck is going on over at crackers site? Heck....I wouldn't send him a bow on a bet after seeing what I just saw there www.cartersarchery.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2Did he die or just get rich? I dunno....I wouldn't have the guts to send my bow to a shop that cant answer questions on a site that they started NEXT!

Strange set up there. I saw a thread over on AT that the waiting period to have him do a bow was over 250 days? I'm willing to bet every dime I have that not ONE of those people that send him a bow could tell the difference between his tune or a local shop tune. One of the guys that sent him his bow said that Crackers stated he will NOT respond to emails or pm's about the status of their bow or where they are on the waiting list. That's crap. Glad I have a press.

Why send your bow to anyone?.. A true Jedi learns how to fashion his own weapon!

Why send your bow to anyone?.. A true Jedi learns how to fashion his own weapon! Agreed but the fact is that people do send their bows and he has gone big time with his strings being sold to a worldwide manufacturer. Thats why I was checking.....looking at the strings. What I found had me running for the exits If your that busy then you can hire a kid at $8. to answer questions...it's just a verbal....customer service/satisfaction. I would be ashamed to have to ignore customers Actually... Have to ignor....that doesn't even compute

I've heard the strings are very good, but I've also sat back and watched this "crackerized" phenomenon for some time now. I agree with Spiker. I just don't feel right letting someone else tune my bow; I never have. It took time to teach myself, but I got so much out of doing so. I feel the same now about working on it as long as it is something that does not void my warranty. I think the ardor for "crackerization" is absolutely ridiculous, and as such, I'm sorry, but I view many of them that send their bows in for such a "service" to be suckers.

Also, too much "vodoo" involved. I've asked specifically what you would be paying for and no one actually tells you. The guys who have payed the money are not even exactly sure what was done. It's like going to the Mercedes dealership for the 15,000 mi service and getting charged $350.00 and the only thing you know for sure that was done is an oil change.

Most people that send their bows in are looking to maximize performance (I.E.: speed) or at least this is what I have seen in the past.

No doubt!...or....having the HVAC guy come and sweep out your air ducts......
