After dropping off my two (yes two) busted limb Bowtechs I took a few minutes to look at some Hoyts. I have to say....I do like the katera There was another 28" model that was awesome .... but I cant remember what it was....other than lightweight I grabbed a 70# Katera and drew it back (2" to long for me) with no issues at all. (That's to be read as , no problem with the busted hand ) It was harsh on the let down but very nice overall. I can tell if I like something or not on one draw and I think this bow is a potential replacement if I can hit 313 I am looking again The Owner (Joe) said that he was getting 313 @ 27"/60# with IBO arrow. Urgghhhh ;D

Awesome! Get a Mean V, or some other type of string suppresser while your at it. Those speeds are impressive...at 63#...28"...w/340gr arrow (5.396 gpp) my Vulcan is only getting 292.. The price for the Kobalt is sweet also....how much you want to bet that the limbs on that bow will last quite a while..

I've been interested in the Katera as well...I'll say my current leading contender is the Elite GTO.

One thing about the Hoyts is they are known for the harsh letdown....not sure why, but it's a fact...as far as the GTO.....someones got to shoot one and let the rest of us know! Come on Red.....get out to the shop and try one!

Only one Elite dealer in the entire state of Florida. It would be a little over 5 hours round trip. I have to trust impressions from a few folks I trust. My best price is coming from a shop in Ohio. It sure is a beauty...here are someone else's pics:

That is an insane looking rig....wow! Here is the stock pic...can't decide whether to go with all black or black riser and camo limbs. How about the all black for hunting? Would that not be wise? [ Sorry for the highjack...back to your Hoyts.
