The bare bow weight of the Kobalt is the same as Jens Selena. You gotta love that....you really just gotta love it

a I am really confused by that site. Where are they getting those prices from? More importantly, who is dumb enough to pay them?

Yeah, those prices are crazy.
Not to mention it says "can not be sold directly over the internet........contact us"
That sounds fishy. Hoyts can only be sold at the place of business where they are licenced to be sold..........no mail order/internet sales.

I see it's a New Zealand based company, so maybe that is the reason for the cost and maybe that is why they can sell them through the mail.

Even considering the exchange rate between the US, and New Zealand, the prices are crazy! The $1660, for the Katera, works out to $1283.39 in US dollars. I know a lady online from Australia, who's really big into field archery . A few times she has found archery related stuff on Ebay, that the seller wouldn't deal internationally. I would bid for her. She would paypal me the $$ plus my fee's. The seller would ship to me, and I would turn around and ship to her. The last dozen arrows I got for her, it was $30 to ship them to her, on top of what she paid for them, and she said it was still in the end, half of what she would have paid in Australia.

Yeah, they don't call it the Land down under for nothing. I was reading a thread on AT where some British guys were complaining about the sky high prices for Hoyts there also. New Zealand is definitely not the place for a deal...

That's an unbelievable price in todays market for that kind of speed, shootability, quality...the list goes on...can't wait to hear the review on this bow once it's set up.... On that note....although you might save a few bucks on the out of town sale...might you not have to pay a bit more to swing the 65% letoff...cable twisting back to spec that we talked about?
