I just shot the new Hoyts. They are awesome. I just ordered a Vulcan, 70-80#er. 325 IBO, but I have been assured that by playing with the cams I can get some more. I went 1/2" longer and got a 29" which is still very comfortable. I know 911 is looking at the Vectrix.........it's sweet. Very similar to the Trykon but with a more mathews like draw. A real shooter. Come with a factory, removable STS type thing.

I didn't shoot the 38 pro. the hoyt rep didn't have one with him. I am not looking at the specs now, but I will tell you that the new cams are smooth. with a 38" ata and a 7,5" brace height this thing will be very forgiving shooter. I believe it's 310 IBO or so. with your draw length it'll be rocking. I should be shooting the BT Guardian soon. I am hoping before I go away next week. I want to see what she does before I pass judgement on what she looks like.
i can't wait to get my new Vulcan! I should have it as soon as they are released from the factory for sale.

To clear things up. The shop I use does not have any new hoyts yet. I went there and met the hoyt rep when he came to show off the new bows and take orders. I did place my order so I'm hoping it'll be in, in a few weeks. I may just finish this season off with the Vulcan..........at least January in CT!

I am dying here. so many new hoyts have hit the bow shop shelves and mine is NOT one of them. I guess hoyt is dragging their heels on the 80#ers. I was there tonight and shot a 29" Vulcan set at 73#'s. It shoots lights out and getting some nice speeds to boot. With a 370 grain arrow and everything set up stock(silencers, nock and loop) I was getting 311fps. When I boost it to 80#'s, put the lighter WC strings on it, advance the cams and go slightly under 5gpp I should hit 325-330fps , no problem. We're hoping to get almost 10fps with the new strings and another 15fps by advancing the cams. I shot an arrow that was about 4.5gpp at 73#without doing anything else to it and I got 332fps. I'm not worried about dipping slightly below 5gpp, because Hoyts have some of the toughest limbs on the market and the bow has an STS type thing on it.
