Cardboard prevented my broadheads from coming back out. Field points were never an issue. The king target from keystone has lasted longer and is half the size. My money (until something better come alongs) is on the solid foam with the density increasing the deeper you go with out any cardboard.

I have started to make my own field point targets out of 45kg (100 lbs) feed bags. You take the feed bag and get some shrink wrap (saran wrap) that is used on Pallets during shipping. Take the shrink wrap stuff the bag as full as you want it and stich up the top to seel the bag. You can get this shrink wrap from any grocery store, liquor store etc all you have to do is ask if there is any way they could not throw it in the garbage but collect it for you and you can pick it up at anytime they want. Free field point target that seemas to work well. I will try and get some photos for you this weekend.

Another easy bag can be made by getting poly fill and using a nylon feed bag as the container. The feed bags are the same thing that probags are made of and generally are free. Check with your local dairy farm or horse stables

I tore out some carpeting in my house and replaced it with hardwood. I stuffed the old padding into a feed bag and hung it from bungee cords so it would swing when hit. It stops an arrow very well. I used spray paint to make the dots.

I shoot this target in my garage. I place my chronograph in front of it and it reads 296 with my arrow weight I am getting 65 foot pounds at point blank range. I shoot abot halfway thru. The bag swings until it hits the plywood so that uses up some of the energy. Out of curiosity....what K.E. do you est. that you are shooting and how from will that arrow make it into that foam w/o the onion bag?

Yes it is. That piece of plywood was flipped over since the last time I used my old target butt. Those holes would have lined up with a pass thru from the other backstop. I don't miss by that much at only 10 yards ;D ;D ;D ;D 2 chucks, is that 2 (two) holes in the plywood below your neat target? Just curious ;D
