Well that sounds reasonable on it's face but what about the security of the blade?. Not for nothing but I have never bent a ferrule of this head and believe me , I have tried repeatedly. This does not sound like the area that attention should have been directed at. I dont recall of a personal account that rejected the head based on a weak ferrule yet I have heard many complaints as to the blade housing. The double screw was the answer to the problem and I cant remember complaints that focused on the single blade , only the bleeder head which employed a single screw. Sounds like B.S. to be honest. That may sound harsh but you have to consider that as a manufacturer , they get alot of comments on sites. Bowsite is their biggest support base and in the first three years of production I heard not one mention of a weak ferrule on the single blade stinger. This seems to be a way to cut corners .....if anything that would better explain , as opposed to the answer that came forward. I am not buying this for a minute personally. I would point out that the Silver Flame shares the same ferrule design and so far I haven't heard any case of that heads lack luster longevity

Magnus tech support has replied to my email. Here's their response: Hello Jennifer, Sorry for the late reply, I was out of town for the holiday and weekend. We found that the rear hole created a point where the ferrule could bend even with a screw in it, eliminating the hole made it stronger. WHO SENT YOU THIS CRAP? I love Magnus Stingers, but if that's what they're doing then I may have to switch to the 2 blade only(a good thing ) or switch to zwickey's or Razorsharks....Howz that Mr. Sohm?

Strange indeed... Seems like they just figured that it would be cheaper to use the same ferrule on the two blade, as the four.. I've never had any problems with the 85gr 4 blades...but in 100gr, they tend to wobble after a few hits in the block target...or if you miss...then you have to loosen the screws, and try to reset the blade...not an easy task...the two screw 2 blade was a really solid design...oh well, that's what Silver Flames are for...just so expensive...but they are worth it when you see them fly!

Heck , the Muzzy Phantom is a stout head that has a better cutting diameter and better penetration (in tests) so why bother?.

Sorry, Guess I didn't read enough....Well, OK then....I was thinking of turning my 125's into 100's by removing the bleeders for my new set-up anyhow. I may try the Razorsharks for fun too!

The Razorsharks are an awesome design ..... I doubt you'll be disappointed eastern. If you dont like them then just bring them down next year and I'll exchange them for something you do like
