I don't bother reusing my BH's after shooting deer or after dulling them in target practice. I shoot wasps, used to shoot a lot of Muzzys and could replace the blades but for the difference in price for new blades or new heads, i just get new heads. These slightly dull, BH's work great for small game. If they are a bit too dull, I can touch them up a bit. I personally like Rubber bludgen points for squirrels. I shoot upwards of 20 a year and have had nearly all of them die instantly. I try for upper body shots and many times under 20 yds the arrow goes in almost to the fletching. Over 20 yds I've hit them in the back, the arrow bounced off and their chest explode out the front. Even with "gut" shots they die before I can run the 20yds to them. I wouldn't use them on a woodchuck or something that big, but for greys I wouldn't hesetate.

Thanks. I use the same set-up for all my hunting and shooting. It helps me build and maintain muscle and stamina. Even my bowfishing bow is at 70#'s. I'll be shooting 80#'s from my Trykon XL in another week or so. Last year I shot a Hoyt Ultra-tec at 74#'s with Axis 340's, before that it was a Havoc-tec at 72#'s with 2317 xx78's. When you hit a limb-rat with a bludgon and over 70#'s of KE, it's lights out.....fast. With a low weight bow I'd opt for blades instead.

Sounds good! When you said they were dead before you got to them , I was curious as to what they were being hit with

I've not seen these for a while, maybe they quit making them... But you used to be able to buy the 4 wire section of a judo tip without the mass of the tip - just the wire snags. This was screwed on under your tip. You could use a target tip, or a broadhead, just screw it on. I've not seen them for a while though and have no idea just how well they worked, or not. Seemed like a good idea though!
