The bunnies get a pass these days. Back in the day, I had a pack of Beagles, and used to terrorize the population. Now, I like to watch them...next step...feeding pidgeons... ;D

I haven't seen a bunny in the woods in many years. They have gotten very scarce here.

The coyotes are bad here. In N.H. it was the fisher cats that the state let go to kill porcupines .Lets see do I want to eat a porcupine or a snowshoe rabbit.DAH!!!

Coyotes are really hard on rabbits. how is your coyote population? Ghost We have a our fair share of coyotes but there has also been an increase in the fisher cat population along with big increases in the raptor populations here. Bob

Bob It would take a really big raptor to take out an adult snow shoe rabbit. but probably not the young. Ghost

I used to hunt them all the time in Maine but have never seen one in NY. This is the only rabbit worth eating that I have ever shot.

I dont hunt snow shoes. I find the leather is tough to cut, the rubber is to chewy and no matter how much the laces look like spagetti, they keep geting hung in my throat. Seriously though, we only have cottontail in Tenn.
