Well this is a funny story and you all will like it.
I started out to my 52 acre farm in delaware to hunt the begining of the rut with my bow. I had just put 300lbs of corn out at my one stand that morning. When I get there the corn was shredded. It looked like someone took a backhoe bucket of dirt and dumped it on my corn. I thaught for sure someone was messing with me. I did see that all of the scrapes had been freshened since the morning. So I stayed there against my better judgement.
I was only there for about 45 minutes when I heard all this noise coming from the hardwoods. I stood up and got ready. thinking it was a buck chasing a doe. Boy was I wrong. Out of the woods came 10 pigs. PIGGS!!!!! we dont have wild pigs in delaware. They sat there and ripped the ground to peices around my corn pile. There is a pig farm about 2 miles down the road and I help him in the summer months. I called him right away. He told me they had been out for a couple of months and he has caught a few. He said he couldnt catch the rest so he instructed me to shoot them. WOW!!!! THIS IS THE LAST THING I EXPECTED. I hang the phone up and come to full draw. Pigs will eat pretty good *lol* I settled the pin on the first one that caught my eye. A black and white sow. Whackk!! she runs off squeeling. Then they all ran off. Just that quick a pig runs out of the thicket and starts snorting, looking all around. I draw, settle my pin on its ear and WHACKK!!!! down goes another. Again anothere pig runs out. This looking to be a little larger. I reload, draw and put the pin right behind the shoulder. Again WHACKK!!! and he runs off like a bullet. I then sit down thinking what did I just do. Its a good thing I have my cart in the truck. HERE ARE THE PICKS!!!
