It's 85 degree's and mid day as you work your way on a crawl toward the water hole. As you come around a thick brier bush , you are encountered with this view at a distance of 25 yardsShot or no shot?

And no, I'm not going to "guess" where to shoot below the water line. That pig has gotta come out of the water eventually. Plus, it's slightly quartering towards the shooter. Definite no shot in my book.

I would take the shot from a standing position considering my height advantage and my equipment on which I don't think it's an unethical shot. At the end, It's a matter of own confidence at the moment of making the decision of shooting or not. Waiting for a bit won't hurt either.

No vitals in view, and the angle is wrong, so no shot. He will be heading out of the water, sit and wait.

I have to stick with Red on that one....as usual.. My reasoning is that there is no way I'm going in after that big boy and getting leeches, attacked by piranhas, crocs, who knows what the heck is in there! ;D Especially if it's in Westchester... ;D I'll wait for him to get out of the water, so I can track him, and recover on dry ground. Last year I had to knife my hog in the heart, and it was just a little swampy, and that made it a difficult..

After watching the videos posted on here and seeing how hard these pigs are to kill, I for one am gonna wait until I have the best shot possible or else it's a pass for me
