I'll tell you what the pig is doing when we have most of the replies. I dont think anyone has seen it yet. Is he gut shot?

I would have to wait. The vitals are underwater and anyone who has bowfished knows what those arrows do when they hit the water. ;D I would probably whistle or something to get him to stand up , then take the shot .

My reasoning is that there is no way I'm going in after that big boy and getting leeches, attacked by piranhas, crocs, who knows what the heck is in there! ;D Especially if it's in Westchester... ;D Hahahaha

At the point in time shown, I don't care what he is doing, I would not shoot. I don't know enough about pigs to pick a spot without first find the exact point I want to hit - can't do it in this picture since so much of the pig is under water. Is it legal to shoot a pig while in water? For example, in Canada you can't shoot a caribou in the water while swimming...

Well now that I have read all the answers I will tell you what I was thinking when I looked at the pic. I had no idea that he was laying down. I have never hunted hogs and have no idea where a good shot is. I would think I would be on a guided hunt with someone that knew these beasts and I honestly would have to rely on what they told me to do. Before I left on the hunt though I would have been asking them to show me on a picture or 3D target where the perfect shot was and then go for there when they gave the go ahead.

I dont believe there really is a "perfect shot " on a hog. They are tough as nails man
