Have you checked on a custom limb set for a bow you already have? (Although some times you can get in trouble there, too, if the riser is designed for a lower draw weight...)

That's why I contacted black swan. He said that it just wasn't that easy and that trying to match a riser would be a pain or not possible at all. He got right off the subject after I told him it was one of the original black swans. He was way more interested in that fact than my desire for more limbs

I'll see if I can contact Hoyt. the game master is a take down and shoots awesome. They only list limbs to 60#'s but for compounds they only list to 80#'s and told me they would make them at any weight I want.
I bet they would make a heavier recurve limb if asked.

Why do you want an 80 pound draw? Just for the pull of it, or do you expect more speed on heavy arrows? oops....recurve I should have known that... Sorry!

I know you said that bow shoots light out but I am really looking to keep the traditional style. None the less.....go for it.....maybe thats my only shot at a reasonably priced recurve

That's the one I was thinking of. It's 60" which is 2" longer than my match height but that should be o.k.. I went to lancaster and the biggest they offer is 46# I'll be interested in hearing what Hoyt the factory has to say.
