$980 Wow! Is that what the MSRP is or what the shop is actually selling it for? Our local shop in KY sells a lot of Hoyts and from what they tell me are in the top ten nationally for sales so I'm sure their MAP pricing is good from Hoyt, but with that said the Maxxis 31 they sell for $719 and the Maxxis 35 for $759. 980 seems steep!!! What are they getting for the Alphaburner? Not sure what their selling price for the AB is, but I'll call today and ask

What are they getting for the Alphaburner? Not sure what their selling price for the AB is, but I'll call today and ask Their in-store selling price on the Alphaburner is $799. I asked about the other prices I've heard and he said they are "WAY" under everyone else because of their MAP pricing from Hoyt. If someone calls the store and asks the price they have to tell them its $949 for the AB, but the in-store price is obviously much less. Pretty sad, and all along they've tried to tell us there isn't much mark-up in bows Not hardly, just that they only give the good rates to the shop who sells a lot of bows. Makes it nearly impossible for the local archery shops to stay in business. We live in a fairly small town in Northern KY about 35 miles south of Cincy. I guess we are just lucky that our shop is the only prodominently Hoyt dealer around and they get most all the Hoyt sales around here.

There you go. The shop by me is the 900+ quote, and they can't budge on the price because of Hoyt watching them.

They're crazy. You can get those bows for $500 in AT's classified, or on ebay.

Jumping ballheaded ... ok, I'll stop there. Found one on AT for 250 bare bow ... and it's in the same city. Negotiating now, daddy might have himself a new bow soon!!

And that's the funny part! ;D Hoyt, and the other big three have made such good bows over the last three years that you can't go wrong with last years, or the year before's bows. The Vulcan, and Katera's are going dirt cheap now in the face of Hoyt's overblown price gouging this year.

Oddly enough ... apparently I seen the guy on Saturday. I wasn't looking for him though. He goes to the shop frequently. He was saying 450 with everything, trying to find out what "everything" is ... I'm more interested in the 250 though. That way I can put whatever I wanted on it.
