Well, I am going the opposite direction this year and getting a bow that is about 10# lighter (it will be 53#@30"). I am absolutely SOLD on DAS bows (kineticbows.com) and am getting one of his last high-end bows, probably an Elite 21" riser with limbs that will make it a 64" bow. I am also getting lighter limbs for my DAS Dalaa riser that will make it 62". That will be my hunting bow this year. I can take the limbs from my Dalaa and put them on the Elite and make a 66" bow for long-range hunting or targets. I shoot off an elevated rest and plunger and am really digging Blazer vanes for that type of setup. With this combo, I can acheive optimum arrow flight through bareshaft tuning, which I believe is CRITICAL. I'm going lighter on the arrows too I am now shooting Victory Arrows (victoryarchery.com) exclusively. I shoot the V-Force 300s in the V1 straightness and they end up weighing just about 485gr. This gives me an arrow that flies at a speed of roughly 210-2fps. Broadheads will be Razorcaps again. Just love their design. With my arrows tuned like they are, the Razorcaps fly flawlessly and I can get them hair popping sharp. Here are a few pics of a DAS Elite: I use a stabilizer with my Dalaa, but the Elite shouldn't need one due to the extra weight in the low end of the riser which you will see in the form of a bulge under the grip. God bless, Craig

Once you pop the limbs on, what does a rig like that one weigh? Just curious! I've seen similar rigs around but have never had the chance to shoot one. Hand shock, noise? Is there any of either one! It is a great looking bow for sure! Also, being able to just swap out limbs is a real plus.

smj, I have yet to shoot an Elite, but my Dalaa doesn't weigh much. My Silvertip was heavier! Very quiet bow for sure! Zero hand shock, anyone who's shot a DAS will tell you the same. The complete weight of the DAS Dalaa is 2 lb 13 oz and is more once I'm done putting rests and stabilizers on it. The Elite will weigh more, but won't need a stabilizer. My DAS is easily my favorite bow, and I've had some top-end customs. I'll be able to comment on the Elite's shooting qualities on August 4 as I'm heading to DAS Kinetics to shoot one that day. You owe it to yourself to try the 3Rivers Dalaa! I'm sure you'll be impressed. One thing about the flame pattern on the Elite: I hope those elk are colorblind! ;D I'm pretty sure they are

OK, I'll come clean here....there will be a few days when the draw of using my own handmade bow will get the best of me... I gotta finish the riser out and final sand and finish, but I likely will hunt with the Jatoba bow this fall, draws 50lbs at 27" right now BUT I MAY temper limbs before finishing which should drive the weight up a few pounds..... doe tag or not, it's the thrill of the hunt that thrills me now..

Thanks, I usually concetrate on deer and squirrels, but turkeys are showing up around here so I may add them to the list too.
