No, I know I can get better, havent shot long enough to become as good as someone who has shot for years. I could be more consistent, less jumpy, and could also know my bow alot better than I do now. And sooner or later all of these will be resolved, that is when I will be as good as I can get

Is 5 supposed to be "can". I think that I can become a much better live game shooter by experience. To become a better target shooter, I would have to quit my job, to practice full time, so I guess I'm where I will be for a while... Oh yeah, I didn't vote, and there were three votes, and only two posts....lurking voter....

I am not sure to be honest. On the 3-D course I have been the same 265 last year as I was 8 years before. That being said.....that 3 year respite didn't help either. The equipment definitely helps keep me at least as good but to be honest I don't know if I am as good now as I would have been 10 years back with the same equipment. I have a feeling that I would have been better.

With each year I learn so much more from other shooters, eastern, folks on here (alot from on here) and I continue to learn to have fun and not to over focus on the bad shots and focus on what I did right on the good shots.

I have improved a little each year over the past two years, but reasonably small increments.

I used to be better based on how obsessive I was about practice. Now, I live too far from a club to do any regular 3-d shooting other then at my own targets at ranges I know. I still shoot several times a week, down from twice a day, and at least once a week shooting walk throughs when I lived near clubs. You can usually get out of it what you put into it, but age/eye sight and other factors do weigh in sooner than later. It seems to go alot better if you shoot with the very best shooters you can find. I practice with broad heads out to 60 yards, but hunt only from tree stands, so the typical stand shot seems slam dunk....provided one keeps his emotions under control ( hard part ). R

I really need to range better without a rangefinder...if I know the range I can "usually" hit what I'm aiming at, but the unknown is just that...unknown...
