I really need to range better without a rangefinder...if I know the range I can "usually" hit what I'm aiming at, but the unknown is just that...unknown... Start estimating distance to any point you are walking toward. This is something that you can do each and every day When you get out of your vehicle or are just walking....pick a spot and step it off

Just started in Feb.but am happy with where I am now.On the ground I am shooting well but need experience from tree stand shooting.Just starting my B/H training and should be ready by Sept.Having no experience with shooting deer (with bow)won't know how I'll react till I'm at full draw.I never had any problem with a rifle but a bow is up close and personal .My biggest advantage is having all the time to practice. My only concerns are my eyesight and coming to full draw after sitting if its cold.I plan to mark all my trees around my stands so I have one less thing to worrie about. One color at 20 yds. and anouther at 30 yds.

Shakin leg or two....pounding in chest....rapid heart rate....shortness of breath.....can hear your own heart beating... memmories of the ones that got away last 4ever. R

When I was a kid, we shot a lot of carp in the river just across the street, it got boring.. so we decided to only shoot running carp, they can go pretty fast and we got very good at it, my father had been the state champ, and taught me the ways I still use today... but after not shooting for 5 years due to my neck problems , I am not now as good as I was then, but I am getting there, swinging ping pong balls have replaced the carp, and I have the desire again like I did then, so I'll get there..........Steve
