I purchased a cheap QAD drop away a while back but wanted to wait untill I got my new string on the bow before trying it. I will be giving it a try within the month and will post my finding then but for now, this is what I got. Go to Bowhunter Supply Store www.bowhunterssupplystore.com/QAD_Rests.php I got the $38 dollar one.

I have not tried the RipCord But I did have a QAD Pro-Series rest and liked it very much. I found it on sale at dick's Sporting Goods for like $80. There is absolutely no way your arrow will fall out. It worked very well for me. Just have to make sure that when you install it that the rest pulls back far enough for it to drop. The Newer models have white lines on them to use as an indicator. I have no complaints with the rest.

I have no problems with my Ripcord, but the advantage of the Quad is that it doesn't let down when you do, unless it's on the shot...

My only complaint about the Ripcord is the noise made when the rest forks slap the shelf. I have tried several different things to help but it is still the loudest noise I hear when I shoot.

I shoot a Rip and love it, dunno if it's better than any other good fall away, but it'll hold it's own. Azslim- have you tried lining the shelf with good thick moleskin? This helped mine out alot. One other Idea might be to get some small rubber heat shrink tubing, and apply it to the very tips of the launcher arms. Hope this helps, Ster

I found that I needed to glue the moleskin in place on the prongs. I also removed the top bar. I found that top bar to be the source of a buzzing noise, and honestly, I don't think it's necessary. One big plus of the ripcord is that the pull cord does not have to be served into placed on the cable. The cord runs through a plastic "football" which also tightens down on the cable. Once I figured out the noise issue, my ripcord has performed flawlessly.

Mine is one from Trophy Taker and I think it's called the Shakey Hunter Fall-Away Rest. Love it!
