Just shot with my new Ripcord rest.I have been using a W/B since I started shooting in the late winter.I'm now at a point in shooting to where I shoot well enough to see if I can try new things and figure out if it helps or not.My first 6 shots at 20 yds. I didnt see much new,so I went back to 40 yds. and saw a BIG difference .My 40 yd groups closed up by over half. After to much shooting I get tired and start to get sloppy so stop.It will take some time getting used to pulling up the arm each time but that will come.So far the only thing I see I don't like is the noise the arrow makes when I draw .I guess it's time to set some mole traps and get some little hides Where do you get mole skin and what is the best way to put it on

Walmart. The best method I have found is to cut it in thin strips and wrap it around the rest with the sides touching and no over lap. At the end if you have problems with it staying put a little drop of super glue will hold it in place.

I had the shop put it on.I'm not sure if there was one and it fell out when the package was opened . I have to go back today and will check.I was not impressed with the directions plus have 3 parts that I don't even know what they are.One is a black I think arrow rest about the size of a stamp. It looks like it should be glued on the rizer. Then one black O ring about the size of a dime and a small white plastic thick peice of tubing.

the black stamp size arrow holder should have double sided sticky tape on it and goes on the front of the arrow shelf to hold the arrow at rest. the o-ring ? dunno - I haven't seen that in their packages yet - sounds like they may be putting a seal in the cover and gave you a replacement. the white plastic tube ? dunno - new to me.

Oldfarmsblueman I have gone to the QAD drop away and like it also. Is yours a capture rest or is the tip of the drop away section open? My is a capture style and I love it. Shooting well with it but still not sure it isn't the new product syndrom were you concentrate and don't expect that you should be doing better. We will see come the fall.

A lot of people do not use the top piece...but I do...it's what makes it a "capture "rest. With some mole skin on the underside, and on the forks, it will be as silent as silent can be...

What kind of arrows you shooting? Mine made a small squeek when drawing when it was new, but after shooting it like that awhile it's as quiet on the draw as anything.Might be worth trying. I dont like putting moleskin on the rest prongs myself , that stuff is too likely to come unstuck at the wrong time IMO and cause problems. Now I only put it on the shelf to dampen the sound of the prongs hitting it at the shot. You'll get used to locking the rest up, I've done it enough times that its automatic now. Hope this helps, Ster
