I opted for the Crossbow King from American Whitetail Inc. I just got it last week and it does a good job stopping the Slick Tricks out of my crossbow. For less than $50.00 delivered to my door you can't beat the price. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the durability but I would recommend an arrow puller. You can pull them by hand but it is some work. www.archerytargets.com/CompoundKing.aspxAs an aside, the Slick Tricks really do fly like field points. HH

Thats a great price. How does it compare outwardly to a target such as the hole?

BT,
The Crossbow block is not an open layer target it is constructed of fewer and thicker layers of vertically layered foam. It seems to stop my arrows well but we will see how it stands up as I will now shoot broadheads only through the end of the year to ensure that the Xbow stays on target.

Well keep me up to date because I would like to have a target butt that I could recommend as an econo alternative

I use a rhinhart 18/ 1 target and shoot laser II Gold Tips into it. It's a breeze to remove them if you have a Dan Miller arrow pulling pliers made specifically for the 22 series arrows. It also helps to twist the arrow a quarter turn to break the friction melt. A quarter turn counter clockwise first if shooting with a broadhead to straighten up the blades, then a quarter turn clockwise. If you haven't tried these pliers my condolences. 1-740-483-2312 for Dan's horizontal archery business. About 12 bucks I believe.
