Well the time has come....Its the off season I always tell myself if I'm gonna get a new setup to do it now so I can slay pigs/turkey/exotics with it during the summer months to prepare it for the big show I'm pretty sure that I have narrowed it down to these 2 bows. I'm a diehard mathews fan, always have been and always will be but I would really love to have a bow that has a adjustable draw weight from 70-80 pounds. The only Mathews that offers this is the Apex 7. I'm NOT going to get that bow. So here are my 2 options. If I get the Hoyt it will be the 70-80 pounder...if I get the mathews it will be a 60-70 pounder....what do yall think click on the links below mathewsinc.com/mathews-bows-S2-44-ViewProduct-1455.aspwww.hoyt.com/compound_bows/hoyt_vectrix_plus_compound_bow.php

I'll be able to provide some feedback on the Elite soon. Having said that, I am a big Mathews fan. I love my Switchback and if I wasn't looking for something significantly different I probably would have looked closely at a DXT. I'd agree that the new Hoyts are worth consideration...especially the Katera.

I say Mathews, but not an S2, same basic bow as the Switchback(a great bow no doubt). For the money go with a Drenalin Or DXT, Way lighter than A HOYT and better looking too (hoyt risers are ooogly IMO) Oh and I feel that the Mathews are easier to tune and keep that way.Did I mention hoyts are ugly? BTW not to tell a guy his business or nothing but 80# I'm a pretty strong guy and I wouldn't shoot 80#, but if that's your thing be my guest. Just my opinion though, go shoot a bunch of new different bows and let them decide. Ster
