I was at Bass Pro to purchase another dozen Carbon Supreme 350 arrows with blazer vanes. But, they only carry them with 4"duravanes. It also looks like they are phasing out this arrow completely. They now carry Carbon supreme lite. The Supremes are 10.7 gpi, the Supreme Lites are 9.8 gpi. My question is should I buy a couple dozen of the Supremes, a fletching jig and blazer vanes and refletch them or should I switch arrows completely. If I switch, what would you recommend switching to? I shoot a 30" draw at 70lbs. Right now my arrow length is 28". Also, if I buy the supreme lites, can I make up the weight diffence by cutting the arrow longer? Thanks.

why not buy some bare shafts from another dealer and put your own blazers on, or just switch to the duravanes.
I wouldn't see a problem switching over to the lites either. you'll get a little more speed and still have plenty of punch for deer.

If i switch to the lites, will I need to resight my bow? What is the difference going from a 28" 10.7 gpi arrow to a 9.8 gpi arrow? Is it really that noticeable. I would hate to not be able to use the remaining carbon supremes.

yes you would have to resight and retune your bow with the lighter ones. you will ahve to do that when you change anything with arrows. it can be a bit of a pain but I have switched arrows plenty of times during season after using up my last arrows of a stash.
i would look for bare shafts and just keep shooting what you have

ruckerduck, the Red Head arrows are made by Carbon Express. I would check to see if one of the mail order places have the comparable arrow left in stock. Carbon Express dropped a few models this year. One of them being the Terminator Hunter which was the heavy weight that you have.
I would buy a fletching jig and build my own. You can build them anyway you want and you won't have to go to a shop when they need to be refletched.

Spine range being the same I don't believe your going to see a noticeable difference in your set up in this regard.

BT, what are your thoughts on the blazers? Just curiousity from someone who has always shot feathers?

Have you tried a distance test BT? A friend of mine shot both feathers and Blazers at 60 yds and the Blazers had less drop and a tighter group. Of course he still uses feathers, likes them too much.
