I would expect that since feathers add more speed up to around 35 yards and then by 40 the vanes have caught up and will pass the feathered arrow. Feathers give alot of drag for stability but they lay down as speed increases which makes them faster. As speed is sheered off , the feathers start to drag and decrease speed more rapidly. I don't mind the trade off myself

The only difference between the two was at longer distances. Up close they both had the same impact.

Thanks for the input, I just fletched some maxima's w/ blazers & they shot great. Also, just a heads up...I plan on trying out the piston points on a nice grey doe that I've been watching. So, hopefully on Oct 1 (AR's opening day) I will have a good piece for the blood trails section. Gonna be hard not to shoot my wac 'ems though.
