I don't think your dl is to long. But I do think your peep is to low and that makes you drop your head which puts the string on the side of your nose. Move the peep up the string so you can see thru it with the string just touching the tip of your nose; this will put the nock under your eye {where it should be}. Also I'm not a fan of a bent bow arm.Extend your arm ...I bet after you do this you might add to your dl

This is why vonotto is the chairman of the arms committee Very good pick up vonotto! correct...I do not endorse the bent elbow either but if the bow arm were extended....end of problem And of course you are correct that his head is bent into the string which is a no no. These issues could be changed with a straight arm and a peep relocation. If you have to go bent elbow then my first suggestions would be in order. See turf!....thats why we have to work together around here Very good suggestions all I was asking about the arrows because I was trying to determine if the spine matched the needs of the bow as it currently sits.

That's good. Just get them cut to your new draw length. Just try straightening that bow arm out and raising the peep which will require you to also raise the sight to compensate for the peep movement. When you are at full draw you want your spine to be straight from the base of the skull right down to your mid back. If you have to shoot down you do the same thing and then bend at the waist. If your head is straight up as if you were talking to someone your same height then your positioned to shoot.

Good catch Vonotto I was reading thru the whole thread to find out the big picture and by page three was jumping up and down about your draw length still being too short . I think Vonotto will straighten you right out turf. but don't cut those arrows yet..... you look a little short to me ...but after adjusting peep and maybe even anchor point things may look different. I have a question about your anchor point though. Are you anchoring with the knuckle of your first finger firmly buried against the hollow in your jawbone (right below your ear) or are you anchoring a little farther back with just your finger TOUCHING your ear? I would advocate the first anchor myself.

Those arrows will need cutting....3 - 4" too long regardless of where we end up at this point Looks to me as if there are two choices. #1 drop the draw if it is over 28 1/2" (bet it's 29" ) #2 get rid of the string loop #3 straighten the bow arm I say this simply because the in the picture turf's he is square to the bow and the string is past the corner of his mouth and his head is tilted downward. If he lifts his head the string will be further back albeit slightly. Also....that string loop is long....very long and something needs to give IMO I should point out that I am saying that turfs draw is to long for the way he is shooting
