I got my new to me PSE G force in the mail today, after about an hour of inspecting and installing a new site and rest, squaring and double checking everything, feeling ok about the bows condition and ability to safely shoot, I took it outside and shot it. The string wack that I took on my left wrist is the absolute worst I have ever had, instantly purple. I chock that one up as a warning from the bow to watch my hand position . Oh well, it does shoot really well. I'm pretty happy with it, not bad for a bow that cost me $114 with shipping. I think that I still like my old bow better, even though I'm getting the same performance out of the G-Force at 70 pounds compared to the 90 pounds with the old one. The G-Force is a LOT lighter too. I guess its kind of like the guys you see driving the 1970's pick up with the 2007 parked in the driveway. Jim

Alot of times it a sign of to long a draw length as the bow arm hyper extends which in turn forces the forearm past center in into the path of the string. I still wear an arm guard though .... nasty business those bruises

Although I don't have any personal experience with them, the new String Supressor systems such as the CSS or STS are supposed to reduce/eliminate string slap for most shooters. If interested, check out www.meanvarchery.com

I can personally tell you that the string suppressor systems are the way to go as far as eliminating string slap. I have an STS system on two of my bows, and my Hoyt came with it's own version of the MeanV... which is SHWEEET. Another advantage is that you can take off those string silencers to pick up a little speed.
