I think it might be me BUT here it is. I checked my rest and it was a little off, from shooting it since it is new. Anyway I moved it and then my bow was shooting high. I moved my sight up and now my groups went to hell. Now at 70yds I am shooting from the top of the shoulder to the legs. I am pretty sure it is me but what do you think. Have you ever had this happen. I take my time go step by step over my technique and shoot one good then repeat and slowly shoot. Then way off. Just agravating.

bk - I don't remember ... what bow are you shooting? Is it a new bow? Could your string have stretched? How's your grouping at 20 and 40? Could you be getting fletch contact?
What fun a simple compound can be huh? Some days I just wanna throw up my hands, quit, and go get the 03-A3!

it is my new drenalin. I am good all the way to 60 then it goes to hell. But now that you mention it I am not as good at close range as I was prior to moving the sight either. I just took it and got the string twisted 2 turns. I figured it might be that since my peep wasnt sitting in the right spot every time but then I got it back and I am still shooting poor groups.

it's not all your sight!! first start @10 at step back 5 yard at a time shoot ing 1 arrow at the same spot each time up to say 6 arrows it should show up as a straight line up and down if it isn't then move your rest slighty towards the way the line is bending, if its to the right go right untill it is all in a vertical line... now if you are rifght or left of the spot you pick then move the sight,, hope i explained it right or you to understand

Sounds to me that you moved the rest vertically when you adjusted the horizontal. At least thats what I hear you saying. I just brought the flight tuning thread back to the top of the tip&tricks category. Check that out and try that method. Same as what Dr.J is telling you

I'm going to assume thhat you checked for contact. Then I'm gonna ask if your bow mfg has the center shot spec for that bow. Start with everything from the beginning. Place your rest according to center spec and of course aligned with your berger hole. Then begin flight (or walk back as some call it) tuning and make the necessary adjustmens all the while checking for contact. Another thing you may want to check is your spine. If it is off slightly, you will notice it only at longer distances. Another factor could be fatigue. Do you build up to the 70 yard shot? Meaning are they at the end of your practice sessions? In the end, the best thing is to take everything step by step eliminating possibilities along the way.

Your getting good advice here How's it going? You may have to start right at the begining and make one adjustment at a time - slowly sort your way thru it. Because of your statement "shoot one good then repeat and ... way off..." it sounds to me like possible fletch contact, irregular pressure against string (nose, lip, kisser, jacket, etc.) or cam timing (not in your case for that!) good luck dude! rc

Well I am trying everything you all are saying, I appreciate the advice. So far everything looks true. I beleive I may have moved my sight pre maturly. I am realy funny about my bow and where it shoots and that doesnt go good with a bad temper. Sometimes you just have to slow down a bit. I didnt get a chance to shoot today, I worked 12x8 then 8x4 and now I am back at work again. Hopefully I can get out there tomarrow. Thanx again for all of you guys good advice.

Man I know how you feel, What happens to me when I am not shooting on a daily basis is I will have my grip slightly different than I normally do. This will cause my poi to be off. I then have to slow down and make sure I have everything the way it is supposed to be. Sometimes it might not be the pins being off but not realizing a small error in shooting. This may not be at all your problem, I am just saying it happens to me from time to time. You will get er panned out I am sure. Drenalin.......I like it
