just purchased the new summit hot dot sight deluxe !!! just a small review cause I'm tired and haven't put it through all its paces....... 1st: www.summitstands.com/NR/rdonlyres/4C43F46F-8513-4195-88CA-CEEEF57FA62C/0/bowsitecatalog2_3.pdfthis is what it looks like. 2nd: this is what my likes and dislikes so far... this is the lightest sight I've seen + instructions fair to mid-line in comprehension - no markings on the frame so you know how far you moved the sight on the x and y axis - 2 inch sight window + ;D it is both pendulum and fixed sight ++ setting it up from 30 yards ( losing 2 arrows ) - after setting it up ( cats meow) ++++ ;D On my SB-XT i almost bottomed out the sight to get it to hit center on target skipped to many arrows on the ground, tool less adj. for x and y axis but wing-nuts do not tighten well enough with out some major torquing with a tool this must be addressed. the heads up display works flawlessly you can set it up with single pin multi pin ( 3,5,6 pins vertical alignment) or switch to pendulum with a turn of a knob. if you cant more than 6 degrees the heads up display turns off if it sits idol for more than 5 Min's it goes into sleep mode to save battery and when you move the bow it turns on again. I finally got it to shoot 30 yards then i put it into pendulum mode and shot from my tree-stand at 32-34 yards away 2 bulls-eyes impressive!!! then i put it on the ground and shot 3 pin default it was set to 10-30 and that's what it shot another thing before i fade it has 3 different bow speeds you can set for default is med. i set mine to fast.. so far its a hoot but i must shoot it more ... retails for $159 found it just outside of new jersey for $139. more to come

That seems pretty nice My question is how can it cover speeds from 240 - 330 with three ranges and a set series of dots Seems that there would be a marginal gap somewhere unless the dots themselves were big enough to cover the gap. Does it say what the setting cover for ranges on the speeds?

I have not seen this sight before. Keep us posted as you learn more about it. I would appreciate a review AFTER you have hunted with it a season.
Thanks.

I make a couple marks with a pencil on the stuff that doesn't come with hash marks. Gives you some idea of how far things have moved.

OK update: Called Summit , boy were they quick to get back to me. Talked to their rep and explained to them about the directions , I was told they are working on putting in a DVD to better explain their product and how to set it up . Then I went on to suggest they make markings on the dovetail for setting up the sight so everyone can make slight simply adjustments in setting up the sight plus not being able to tighten it once you did get it in-place. I was told to take off the wing-nut and you would find Allen's underneath that;s what he did and so did I!!! worked like a charm ...Overall they listened well to my concerns and suggestions and told me any more problems just call and they will take the sight back and replace the dovetail assembly!!! Next how does it shoot Broken 4 nocks so far lost one arrow setting it up nailed bull eyes from 15 feet up in a tree stand@ 34 yards right now I'd say I'm feeling pretty frisky on this baby but this Friday will tell when i take it turkey hunting !!! It is a very interesting concept and seems to be working well but i must delve Further into the instruction's to see all that it can do ... got to go shoot!!! ;D ;D ;D

I dont personally own one but have read up on it. I understand it uses a series of 16 LEDs to produce the dots, 6 of which you can use. Having not actually used one yet I really only have one concern at this point and you may be able to offer some insight.
Every pic I have seen shows that all the dots are red. Is this the case? If it is Im not sure I wanna play a guessing game when the chips are down and Ive got a nice buck or a bear in range.

yes all the dots are red!! so far its been real easy to shoot.. but again i don't know when i get hunting !! I'm taking it with me on a caribou hunt in sept. i'll really see how it holds up on the tundra.. but as far as seeing my target it's fine you can also adjust the brightness of the led..
