So i went to my buddies house yesterday. A friend of ours went mud bogging with his S-10 and got it stuck on friday. It went in so deep that the cab and engeine were filled with water........so we spent the day draining the motor and cleaning it and getting it all back together........so anyway. He has a big field behind his house and I had my bow and a small bag target in the truck. I warmed up shooting at 40 and 50yds. i was doing well so I decided to push it out a ways. I found that my bottom pin is set for 80yds. Once i made sure the pin was on I started shooting. i was able to keep my arrows in the 4" circle of the target. quite a few of the shots had my 2 arrows touching! I didn't have my camera but I will go back this week and do it again with the camera. I was even shooting weel enough that I could see that my arrows were always(as in more often than not) hitting the left side of the spot.......still in it, but on the left side. I can't wait to really push the target out a ways and see what I can do at 100yds.

Pretty good skip....I shot my first groups of 50 and 60 yards today, both about 6" groups, but they sure killed the McKenzie buck I was shooting!!! I have 5 pins, from 10 to 50 yards, so i had to guestimate on the 60, but after a few shots I figured out the arrow drop and laid em in there.

The long range shooting is fun and it really hones your form. shooting groups like that at those ranges for the first time is awesome. They'll just get tighter with practice.

Good shootin skip. i am gonna post some more of my long range shooting soon. I have been shooting about 6-8 inch groups at 70yds. I havent shot my bow past that yet. But it wont be long. It's addicting. You shoot at 70 and you have to try 80 and so on. *lol* Like I said, good shootin and keep it up. That is my favorite kind of bow shooting besides on a real deer that is.

I can keep my arrows in a 2 foot circle at 40 yards. Is that good. For the bow that you are shooting The fact of the matter is that the bow does have alot to do with the groups that you will shoot as the distances increase. Not that you couldn't tighten it up more but you would have to rely more on the equipment and arrow selection that you use with that bow. I am keeping my eye's open when I can Stilll. Keep the faith and keep at it.

Distance shooting is great fun! We often shoot the ant mounds when antelope hunting - if you can see 'em, it is fair to shoot at them...
Also, time put in taking longer shots will help you get those groups tighter at hunting distances, too!

I can't wait to come up and do some long shooting with you. I'm not sure that i will get a 100yd pin on my bow........but I think it will be close. i should get a 90 on without problem.
