Well, went out to shoot the bow tonight, and what do ya know, the strap on my release broke!!!!! Good thing I already had a new one on the way....hope it comes soon, I got kind of addicted to this compound thing already Oh yeah... anybody have experience with the Cabela's brand carbon arrows? I read all the review on the Cabela's website, and there are only a couple of bad ones, but then you're gonna have that with everything...Just dont wanna spend an arm and a leg till I get this bow set up the way I want it....at least how I want it for now anyways

Cabelas arrows are just someone Else's with their name on it. I used to buy their AFC shafts that now have the Maverick name (if they are still around) AFC shafts were super strong and cabelas picked them up after beman knocked them out of the market place in the 80's That's about my background with the cabela's name and arrows

I think they are Bemans but I won't swear to it.

You can't go wrong with Carbon Express. Just make sure to follow the spine chart so that you do not underspine your arrows. I've been through half a dozen brands this past year, and I'm back to them. It seems that out of all the brands, I still have 11 out of the original dz. and that ones out in the woods somewhere. Not one broke on a trip through the woods, after a miss. Just giving you my personal experience, and oh yeah, my PSE Predators are really tough as well, same thing, the only ones lost were the robinhoods, and the arrow eating woods....but no broken ones!

I saw the carbon express toughness for myself last year.... Had someone tell me that acetone to remove the graphics so i could dip and crest them would weaken and separate the epoxies in a carbon shaft, so i did my own little test...actually posted the results on here too.... After a thorough soak in acetone, I could only break the Carbon Express shaft I was using by removing the insert and shooting the arrow directly at a cinder block from about 10-15 yds....and it took two shots to break it!! Now granted, this was out of my recurve, so it probably would have done it the first time with a compound....

The only thing about the carbon express shafts is that they will split the nock ends on hard impacts. Get the bull dog collars and you'll be fine IMO

I think I'm gonna try out some of the Cabela's arrows and see how they do...most of the reviews are good, with only a couple bad...just like I told Matt last night, you can give everyone a million dollars, and someone will complain about it!!! Plus, they aren't overly expensive, so I'll go ahead and check em out. If they arent any good, I'll go with something else.

mATT (elk4me) is absolutely correct about the Redhead Carbon Fury's. In fact, I believe they are the Terminator shafts.
