I got my new bow today. Wow was I a happy camper. This new mathews drenalin is awesome. Fast, quiet, and easy to shoot. I got a G-5 peep, man is this thing gonna be the ticket for low light. It has a very large sight hole. I put a toxonics five pin sight on it. I really like this sight, it is very bright. For a rest I used a trophy taker shakey hunter. It has a wide arrow shelf so the arrow doesnt come off easily. For my stabelizer I used a SVL limb saver for dampening And of course a set of limb savers for good measure. I think I am really gonna be happy with my low light setup now. The bow shoots great. I just got it today and have ripped 3 of my blazer veins off of my arrows aready at 30yds. And for a stock bow she is a screamer. Very fast without any thing special. I was suprised at first when taking the bow home. I thaught it was a little louder than expected. But when backing up to 30yds and farther I noticed that I was mistaking the arrow smacking the target for the shot noise. When I shot at farther distances I could differentiate the two. I also got a new block target today. I will post some pic's of me practicing this week. Gonna need alot of it. I shot 12 times today and felt my arm getting tired. And this bow is only at 72lbs. I guess its been a while since I have done any shooting. But I can tell you that this year the deer are in serious trouble.

trust me I love it already. I have to shoot my 5 dot block already. If I shoot my mckenzie buck I bust my arrows up to much. tearing my blazer veins and chipping nocks. I just cant beleive how quiet these new bows are. I dont know how I ever got away with shooting my old one. I had my mathews dealer go through every 30 inch draw drenalin he had and crank them down as hard as they will go. Then I took the one with the most poundage. It was only 72lbs. He said that the clearences are so tight that they will basicly only get the poundage they say on them. My friend also told me that they dont make and 80lb limb for the drenalin. They do make on for the switch back xt. But these upgrades will run about $2300.00, to steep for me. I think I will be ok with my bow at 72lbs. Heck if you guys are killing them with the stick and strings I should be ok huh.

I would say so! ;D I started hunting with a 60# bow over a dozen years ago and have cleanly taken deer out to 50yards with pass throughs. 300 grain arrows to boot! And expandables!! ;D Your ready for anything now

Nice shooting. Long range shooting is so much fun. It makes the 30 and 40yd shots cake.
